Rednock School

Rednock School is a Science Demonstrator College, and secured funding under the BSF One School Pathfinder scheme to enable it to undertake a major redevelopment of its site.
  • Main challenge to develop campus in a unified manner
  • Brief placed equal emphasis on the external space being used for teaching, socialising and sport
  • Spaces were designed to provide dedicated ‘year rooms’ for each year group, as well as outdoor teaching areas related to curriculum
  • Comprehensive integrated SuDS scheme collected all surface and roof water on site
  • Contamination issues, significant level change across the site and enabling the school to fully function during the construction period were amongst many challenges.
