Bromsgrove School

Bromsgrove School, one of the county’s leading independent boarding / day schools, undertook a major redevelopment of their sports facilities and boarding houses; part of the project brief was to enhance the entrances, and create quality external areas befitting such an establishment.

Illman Young commissioned to develop detailed design and working drawings for hard and soft external works.
Formal avenues created along roads, with sweeping woodland paths through existing wooded areas.
Formal plaza created, framed by trees and planting.
Difficult level issues brought opportunity to create stepped terrace, a hub in the centre of the campus.
Mix of formal planting to plaza spaces, with softer grasses and perennials to the boarding houses.
High quality materials and planting specified throughout with use of instant hedging for immediate impact.
