Silverstone ‘Escapades’

Our involvement at Silverstone over the last few years has been extensive. The most recent works have involved developing designs for new short stay accommodation at the circuit. The development comprises 60 units and a club house set within a natural landscape setting. Given the large extent of the site and quantity of units proposed the buildings are to be set within a generous landscape, providing an attractive and valuable setting for green blue infrastructure.

Four different types of accommodation have been developed with each type designed around a different landscape feature to create a natural setting for the residences. The buildings provide magnificent views, with vistas out over the track or onto a landscape feature. SuDS have been integrated into the design with the swales and basin creating a rich bio-diverse internal landscape.

Accessible via a new tree lined avenue, the club house will provide restaurant and gym facilities and will become a reception area for the new accommodation. A simple circulation strategy has been designed to connect the units whilst keeping the road network to a minimum.
