Whitemead Forest Park is a holiday park located within the Forest of Dean and has both self-catering holiday lets and extensive camping and caravanning facilities. Illman Young has had along association with the site and has been involved with the expansion of facilities over many years.
Most recently Illman Young have undertaken a feasibility study to define ongoing issues and opportunities deriving from the parks popularity, changing visitor expectations and latest government regulations.
The report identified phases for the redevelopment so they could be funded and implemented over a number of years. The first phase was agreed with the client and submitted to planning.
Phase 1 incorporates an extension and rationalisation to the main camping and caravanning area; addition of a new glamping pod cluster; addition of new washing and WC blocks; extensive planting of trees and shrubs; and also the regrading, services and new access road to facilitate the above.
